Gadsden (Aust.) To Try New Method

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, Nov. 24. J. Gadsden (Australia), Ltd., would benefit soon from a revolutionary method of can manufacture, the chairman (Mr N. C. Gadsden) said at the annual meeting today. He said that under the new method, speeds of up to five times the present unit of production per hour would be obtained. Gadsden’s United States’ associates, American Can Company, were at present completing the method, he added. W. E. Smith - Gadsden (Queensland) Pty., Ltd., sales since June 30 had shown a considerable increase over the same 1960 period. Cyclone Ind. Interim.—Cyclone Industries (N.Z.), Ltd., has announced an interim ordinary dividend of 4 per cent., payable December 15, share books closed from December 11 to December 15 inclusive. Last year’s 4 per cent, interim was followed by a final 5 per cent., making 9 per cent, for the year.
