Nursing Work Helpers

In 1953 an organisation known as the Friends of the Nurse Maude District Nursing Association was formed at the suggestion of Miss M Corkill, superintendent of the nursing association. Since its inception, the band of helpers has raised £3200 from holding stalls and competitions on appeal days for the association. When the friends held a recent mreting ih the garden of Miss I? Anderson’s home in Armagh street west, opportunity was taken to honour Miss Corkill. who will retire soon from office in the association Miss Corkill was made a life member of the Friends and presented with a bouquet of flowers.
