Solicitor’s Appeal Against Conviction

(NX. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 23. An appeal againat conviction has been lodged in the Court of Appeal at Wellington on behalf of Robert William Tennent aged 29, a former Auckland solicitor. Tennent was sentenced to six months* imprisonment during the October criminal sessions of the Supreme Court at Auckland on five charges of theft by misappropriation The grounds of the appeal are alleged misdirection to the jury and a submission that no offence was disclosed by the indictments against Tennent
