Chevron Q’land Earns More
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright) MELBOURNE. Nov. 17. Chevron Queensland. Ltd., earned slightly higher profit from hotel trading in the year to July 31 last, but lower over-all net profit because the credit restrictions had an adverse effect on land sales, the chairman (Mr S. Korman) says in his report with the accounts. Profit, already reported, declined from £90.263 to £67,799 and was after tax of £26.200. No tax has been charged in previous years because certain items of expenditure charged to establishment expenses were allowable deductions for income tax purposes. No dividend was paid. The distribution in the previous year was 10 per cent.
