NEGLIGENCE CHARGES
Jury Finds Man Not Guilty (N.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM, Nov. 16. After a retirement of less than an hour a jury in the Supreme Court at Blenheim yesterday found Stuart John Barrett, aged 22, a farm worker not guilty on two charges of negligent driving causing death. The charges arose from a collision on the outskirts of Blenheim on July 23 last when two elderly persons, James Edwin Hatton and his wife. Mary Jane Hatton, were killed. Mr Justice Macarthur presided at the two-day hearing.
