New Zealand Shares Continue Firm Trend
New Zealand shares continued yesterday to show a firm trend m trading, but overseas shares were again easier. National Insurance and New Zealand Insurance were again firmer, but South British eased. Best gains among New Zealand shares were Tasman Pulp and l’ ap j r ’ U P Winstones, Is 6d higher. Charles Begg, N.Z. Forest Products and Wliitcombe and Tombs all rose 6d. • Bonds, Kaiapoi Wool, A.B. Consol, Burnetts, Golden Bay ex “oKendrick, Farmers’ Fertiliser, Ross and Glendining and wilson s Cement also improved.
