U.N. Appeal To France
(N.Z.P. A.-Reuter —Copyright) NEW YORK. November 15 The United Nations today appealed to France to “redress the legitimate grievances’’ of Algerian prisoners now in French gaols, thus enabling them to end their hunger strike. The vote, on a resolution introduced in the General Assembly by 34 Afro-Asian nations, as a matter of urgency, was 62 to none, with 31 abstentions. The French walked out of the Assembly as a protest against consideration of the resolution.
