Temperature 82 Degrees

Another very warm day was experienced in Christchurch yesterday when the temperature reached 82 degrees at 1 p.m. The temperature may have risen further had a light nor’west breeze not freshened early in the afternoon, said a Weather Office spokesman. High temperatures marked most of the day. More than 80 degrees was recorded for about two hours and at 6 p.m. the thermometer had degrees more. The lowest temperature yesterday was 41 degrees at 5 am. Yesterday’s temperature was the highest since Fri-| day, when 86 degrees was registered. On Saturday and Monday temperatures reached 75 degrees. Sunday, with a maximum of 63 degrees, was the coolest of the last five days. ,
