Dynamometer Housing.—A start will be made this week at Addington on the erection of a reinforced concrete building to house the New Zealand Railway ~ Department’s engine dynamometer. The device, used for testing the performances of all kinds of engines, has been in operation at the workshops for * year but has up until now been accommo-

dated in temporary housing. The concrete 19ft by 2Wt building will be erected in the workshop area.
