TUNA FISHING EQUIPMENT
Arrival In N.Z. This Month fNZ Preus Association) GISBORNE, November 14. Tuna fishing equipment, ordered by J. Wattle Canneries, Ltd., for toe vessel Olwyn, was due to arrive in New Zealand before the end of the month, toe manager of toe Gisborne branch (Mr G. J. Wattle) said today. The equipment had been ordered in toe United States after the recent allocation of licences.
Meanwhile, toe Olwyn would rtwl tor household fish as part of toe trials to prepare toe vessel tor tuna fishing research, said Mr Wattle. An Auckland fisherman, Mr F. J. Shirley, had recently joined toe firm as a member of toe crew of the Olwyn.
