Dental Decay Research (N.Z. Press Association) NAPIER, Nov. 12. Forty six-year-old children in Napier and 40 in Hastings will get six free haircuts in the interests of dental research. The offer, by the New Zealand Medical Research Council, is part of a nationwide study on the effects of trace elements In foods, soils, and drinking water on the amount of dental decay in children’s teeth. Parents of the selected children have been issued with -six vouchers which they may take to a hairdresser of their choice for the free haircuts. Hairdressers will be issued with plastic bags in which the children’s hair cuttings win be sent to Wellington for analysis.
