Rifle Shooting NORTHLAND TITLE
Man. Aged 75. Wins On Birthday
(NX. Press ASaoeioiton) AUCKLAND, Oct 27. The secretary of the Auckland Rifle Association (Mr H. Simmonds) won the Northland rifle championship on his 75th birthday. The competition was held at Kaeo last week-end. About 30 riflemen took part. Mr Simmonds. who has been shooting competitively since 1907, won the shots from 600, MO and 900-yard range*. He also woo the longrange aggregate. He is a former New Zealand re pre‘it— Mr Simmonds scored 237 points in the shoot, six ahead of the runner-up.
