Swallowed Tinned Crystals (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. Oct. 24. After swallowing the white crystalline cont«nU of a tin he found in his backyard, a four-year-old boy was rushed by ambulance to Hutt Hospital tonight in a serious condition. He is John Maclennan, of Foster street, Ta it a The child was playing In the garden at his home when ' e picked up the tin. A Wellington Free Ambula nee driver said the tin was shaped like a lifebelt with a hole through the centre. Its sides were pierced with aev. eral small holes.
Tonight the hospital did not know the contents of the tin.
