Consumption A Record (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, October 24. In the three months from July 1 to September 30, the Auckland Electric-Power Board supplied a record 302.034 million unit® to its consumers. This was 18 per cent above the 1960 level.

Consumption in the June quarter was 263.004 million units, giving a total for the half-year of more than 565 million units.

It was clear, the general manager (Mr A. S. Don) reported today, that the board would reach Its end-of-year target of 1040 million units. This total, he said, was more than half the power used by the 27 South Island power authorities. The next biggest suppliers in the North Island were Hutt Valley <358 million units). Wellington (353 million) and Waitemata (301 million). The Auckland board used more than these three put together. Hie other 33 authorities used an average of 80 million unite each which was less than four weeks' supply for the Auckland board.
