Adios Butler Wins Easily u (N Z.P.A.-Reuter— Copyright) INGLEWOOD (California), Oct. 22. Adios Butler won the first leg of the 80,000 dollar American Pacing Classic easily at Hollywood Park yesterday. He finished half a length ahead of the fastclosing New Zealand horse. Caduceus. Adios Butler was favoured so heavily for the race hat he was eliminated from muti-jail betting. Punters holding win tickets on Caducous were paid win prices. Caducous, which started at 5-1, returned 11 dollars and 40 cents. Two lengths behind Caduceus at the finish was Dancer Hanover, which paid two dollars and 80 cents- and two dollars and 80 cent*. Stephan Smith, which came in fourth, paid the short price of six dollars. Adios Butler’s win yesterday was the five-year-old’s tenth straight victory. He will be retired after the final leg of the classic. His time yesterday was Im in 57 3-ftaec. three seconds off hia world record for the mile.
