Visit To U.S. Expected

(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copi/riaht) NEW YORK, Oct. 20. The Chancellor of West Germany (Dr. Adenauer) might visit Washington next month, the “New York Times” reported today. A dispatch from Washington said: "The Administration believes Chancellor Adenauer will visit Washington soon after he has organised a new government, probably early in November. "No invitations or requests tor an invitation can be delivered by either side until the 85-year-old West German leader gets a formal new mandate from the Bonn Legislature. “But it is thought here that Dr. Adenauer will want to confer personally with President Kennedy before the West evolves a bargaining position on Berlin and Germany for eventual negotiations with the Soviet Union.”
