Heathcote Residents’ Association
A Heathcote Valley Residents Association was formed at a meeting at the Valley Rifle Club’s hall on Wednesday evening. Moro than 40 residents attended, including Cr. J. S. Scott, of the Heathcote County Council. Mr G. Clarke was elected president. The formation of the association was suggested by the county council chairman (Mr R. A. Young) in a public meeting held in the township in July to discuss grievances. A letter was received from the council replying to various matters raised at the July meeting. ' principally concerning reading, sewerage, and water supply. Officers elected, in addition to Mr Ctorice, were:—Vfceprosident, Mr D. Grandy; secretary-teeaauror, Mr R. Cotton; committee, Mrs' E. Papps, Miss D. White, Messrs J, Brook* D. Gunn, C. Briggs, and D. Lawrence.
