13 Soldiers Die In Air Crash

Thirteen British soldiers were killed and 13 others injured when a Royal Air Force Hastings transport crashed op take-off from El Adem, Libya, last night. Another 20 men aboard the aircraft escaped uninjured when the aircraft burst into flames after crashing. The Hastings was carrying a party of Royal Engineers back to Malta, after an exercise in Libya, said an RAF. spokesman in Nicosia today.
