“Wage • Freese" StrikerPlans for the first strike of industrial workers against the British Government’s wagefreeze policy would be worked out today, the “Daily Mirror” reported. Leaders of the Transport and General Workers’ Union and the General and Municipal Workers’ Union had decided to take joint action to defend 120,000 of their workers who had come under the wage fretee. the report said. —London, October 5.
