Soldier Dies In Riot

One African soldier was killed and two others injured in a riot between troops of the Rhodesian African Rifles and civilians in the main African location beer hall last night. The fight started between six or seven African soldiers and civilians, and Northern Rhodesian police called to restore order were forced to use tear gas and riot guns before the crowd dispersed. Some vehicles were stoned and one set afire.
