THREE PREMISES ENTERED

A cash register and its contents of £BO were taken from Smith’s Grocery, 299 Main South road, when the shop was entered through a rear window on Wednesday night. A fruit shop adjoining Smith’s Grocery, owned by Saga Gopal, was also entered and 2800 cigarettes were stolen.

The engineering workshop of C. R. Hawkins. Ltd., was also broken into on Wednesday night, and 6s 6d was taken.
