Waitaki Hanover In Form For Motukarara

VVaitaki Hanover should go close to bringing his record for the season to three successive wins when he parades in the Mount Herbert Handicap at the Banks Peninsula Trotting Club’s annual meeting at Motukarara tomorrow.

Waitaki Hanover won the T. S. Harrison Three-vefir-oid Stakes at Methven a fortnight ago arid last Saturday he was an impressive winner in a division of a race for improvers.

The Garrison Hanover three-year-old will be meeting some smart pacers in this field, but he should be too good for most ot them.

Trusted was a little disappointing when he finished third at Ashburton last week in the race won by Sarona He has been placed in his last four starts and should be hard to beat in this field.

All Red paced a grand race for fourth at Ashburton. She was handy early, but lost her position in the middle stages and was near the tail of the field at the straight entrance Her finishing run over the final furlong was a feature of the race and she failed by only a nose to beat Trusted for third. A similar effort in this field would give her a great chance of success Kyle View could do no better than sixth at Ashburton, but the shorter distance here could assist her.

Whipaway and Snuffbox are others expected to race welt

The double will be run on the Banks Peninsula Handicap and the Paparua Handicap, Southern Cross and Sarona forming a likely combination. Fair weather is forecast for tomorrow and the track is expected to be in good order. Double fields, with form, are: BANKS PENINSULA HANDICAP, Of £650: 4min 37sec class; two miles. 5196 Admit (9> ..
