Market For Overseas, N.Z. Shares Weak
The market for overseas and New Zealand shares was again weak yesterday. Of 24 falls on New Zealand exchanges, 14 were in New Zealand shares, while seven of the 13 rises were in New Zealand shares. New Zealand Refrigerating and Wright Stephenson improved but most other New Zealand leaders were weaker. Australian Consolidated Industries and Mount Isa made good recoveries. Colonial Sugar Refinery lost a further 20s to sell at £53.
