FATHER SUED BY SON

Hearing Of Claim Adjourned

The hearing of a claim by Leslie William Neilson (Mr D. Hicks) for a 7-fi2nds share in the proceeds from the sale of a property at 79 Buchan street against his father. Ronald Walter Neilson (Mr R. G. Blunt), was adjourned by Mr Justice Richmond in the Supreme Court yesterday. Leslie Neilson claimed he held the tenancy of the property in common with his father and mother, his share being in proportion to the amount of £175 which he claimed he had contributed to the purchase price. Ronald Neilson denied that the amount of £175 paid to him by his son was for a share in the property. He said his son had given him that amount, at his request, partly to repay a debt, in respect to an orchard they had run jointly in Nelson, and partly to repay sums of money spent on him.
