SEARCH FOR GIRL

No Trace Yet Found

(NZ. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 1. An intensive week-end search of the Hutt Valley, the Welling'on coastline from north of Titahi Bay round Island Bay and into Wellington Harbour, and the open sea failed to show any trace of the missing Wellington girl, Wendy Catherine Mayes. About 70 policemen and many citizens, including Rover Scouts, trampers, boat owners, and Hutt Valley Jaycee members, and a party of 15 from the Hutt Working Men's Club took part in the search. In spite of the lack of any real clue since the search began a fortnight ago, the police still hope to come across something, and accordingly 'intend to keep the search going a little longer.
