Wresiling ELIGIBILITY FOR N.Z. TITLES

Status Of Molnar In Doubt

The eligibility of a Hungarian student teacher. S. Molnar, to compete at the New Zealand wrestling championships next week was questioned at a meeting of the Canterbury District Wrestling Committee last evening. Molnar lost the light-weight title at the recent Canterbury championships to thy New Zealand representative. I. B. Roberts, on a count-back. As only title-winners are eligible to compete in national championships. Molnar was not considered for the Canterbury team. He was then transferred to Waikato and after registering with that committee he won the Waikato light-weight title and gained selection in the Waikato team for the New Zealand championships. He was then retransferred to Christchurch. As Molnar had not applied for a transfer from the Canterbury committee, the meet- • ing decided to seek a ruling from the New Zealand union.
