Drivers’ Union Opposition
(NZ Press Association) DUNEDIN, Sept 27. If voluntary unionism is introduced, the Otago Drivers' Union will refuse to transport goods or work alongside men who are not members of the union. This was resolved at the union’s annual meeting yesterday when members expressed strong resentment of the Government’s intention to abolish compulsory unionism. According to the Dunedin secretary (Mr J. E. Sinclair), the Oamaru branch of the union also strongly opposes the Government’s move.
