NAVARRO SIXTH

First Race In • Sydney (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY. September 20. Navarro, having his first race since coming from New Zealand, finished sixth in the Dundas Handicap at Warwick Farm this afternoon. But the equal favourite for the Caulfield Cup and equal second favourite for the Melbourne Cup was not disgraced. In the early stages Navarro was well back in the field but showed up prominently on the outside on the home turn Donna Caloona (3/1) pame with a paralysing run in the straight to get up and beat Rock Mai (12/1) by half a neck, with Stipulate (4/1) a length away third.
