BONN, Sept. 21 Behind - the - scenes efforts are expected today to find * formula giving West Germany political leadership after the General Elections earlier this week. The Federal President (Dr Heinrich Leubke) is due to meet Dr. Heinrich Krone, the Bundestag (Lower House) leader of the Christian Democrats, to discuss a Chancellor who would be acceptable to all sides and a way ou: of the impasse created by Dr. Konrad Adenauer’s election loss of his Christian Democrat absolute majority. The President is to have separate meetings tomorrow
on the same topic with Mr Erich Ofienhauer and Dr. Erich Mende. Bundestag leaders of the Social Democratic and Free Democratic groups. West Germany’s main political parties are expected to meet after these talks to discuss the possibility of a coalition. The Free Democrats, who since Sunday's elections hold the balance of power in the Bundestag, are unwilling to serve in a coalition with Dr Adenauer as leader. The third major party, the Social Democrats, have called for a national government and oppose the idea of a temporary Adenauer Cabinet pending a permanent solution.
