RUGBY Coast Draws With Bush, 14-14, In Poor Match

EKATAHUNA, Sept. 20 Wert Ceart drew, 14-14, against Bash at EkeUhana today. The match was extremely scrappy, with dropped passes, mtahandling, and inept tackling the order of the day. West Ceart scored two tries, one converted, and two penalty goals from penalties. Conditions for the match were well-nigh perfect, ak though a slight cross-wind could possibly have had some effect on the match. Bush took the lead after only five minutes, when I McHardy scored after a wellplaced kick-through by R. Mills, at second five-eighth R. Earns converted from in front of the posts. Ten minutes later, from deep inside their own half, the Bush backs broke away when G. Humphrey, coming up from full-back, made the extra man. The wing R. Elliott, took play to the Coast twenty-five before centre-kicking. Eames overran the ball but Elliott gathered it in and scored. The West Coast wing, J M. Eathorne, made amends for missing an easy kick after 13 minutes, when mom-

B L Ross, began the next try when he secured from loose play, kicked ahead, and followed up quickly to catch Humphrey, the Bush fullback, in possession. As the ball rolled loose from the tackle. C. J. Nightengale picked up and handed on to M. W. Gooch, who scored 20 yards out. Eathorne missed the conversion. The match ended with West Coast hard on attack, the final score being: West Coast 14, Bush 14.
