OPAWA CLUB
At the opening day of the Opawa Lawn Tennis Club last Saturday the patron»(Mr C W Franklin) congratulated the club on its excellent facilities for night tennis. Mr A. R. McCallum represented the Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association, and Mrs W. D. Wood presented trophies as follows:—Championships: men’s singles. G. Moss: women’s singles. Mrs B. Lee; men's doubles. A. D. L. Hunter and A. L. Blackwell: women’s doubles. Mesdames M. Bendy and B. Lee; mixed doubles, H. Hill and Mrs B, Lee; junior men P. Boatwood: junior women. Miss D. Patterson; junior mixed doubles. N. B. Adkins and Miss C. E. Ogilvie; schoolboys, K. Crozier; schoolgirls. Miss F. Thomson; Lohrey Ladder Cup. W. J Lewis. Handicaps: men’s singles. P. Boatwood; women’s singles.
