CHURCH HOT PERMITTED

Objections By

Residents

A Salvation Army citadel, with band and “songster" rooms and a Sunday school, at 177 Linwood avenue was not allowed by the City Council last evening on the recommendation of its townplanning committee. When the application for permission to build was advertised. objections were received from 16 property occupiers in the area, the committee said. Later, the Salvation Army advised that six of the objections had been withdrawn.

“As there remains a number of objections to the proposal, which is a conditional use in a residential area, it is recommended that the application be declined.” the committee said.
