FORECAST TO MIDNIGHT

Situation.— An anti-cyclone is centred over the western Tasman Sea. Pressures are low to the south and east of New Zealand. Forecast.— Marlborough, Nelson, Buller and Canterbury:— Light to moderate variable winds, north-westerlies developing about Cook Strait; partly cloudy; moderate day temperatures. Outlook: fine. Westland.—Moderate westerlies: rather cloudy, with some showers at times, mainly in the south; temperatures moderate. Outlook: showers.
