Tredrea (Auckland), who covered the distance in 3hr 14min 22sec.

A stirring finish, iq which seven- riders crossed the line almost abreast gained the North Island 50 miles senior championship for the New Plymouth cyclist. K. Wharehoke, at Waitara on Saturday. Tlie race was conducted under the auspices of the Waitara Cycle, Athletic and Axemen’s Club. Forty-two took part in the event. Wharehoka's winning time of 2hr 14min 25sec compared favourably with that of last year, but was well outside the record. Most of the scratch men, including Auckland competitor. F. Tredrea. competed in the Central Otago two-day tour last week-end and were obviously feeling the effects of the gruelling event.
