MAIREHAU HIGH SCHOOL HALL

Service To Mark Completion More than 350 persons attended a special service yesterday to mark the completion of the new hall at Mairehau High School. Arranged by the St. Albans ministers’ fraternal, the service was conducted by the Rev. C. L. Dobbs, of St. Matthews Anglican Church, and the Rev. K. A. Hadfield of the St. Albans Presbyterian Church. The lessons were read by the Rev. W. A. Davies, of St. Enoch's Presbyterian Church. New Brighton, and the school principal (Mr A. B. Ryan). ' Under their conductor, Mrs P. J. Edmonds, the school choir sang the anthem, “Non Nobis Domine.” The accompaniest was a member of the staff, Mr H. Filer. Mr Hadfield preached the serman.
