TENNIS EXECUTIVE MEMBERS
Reinstatement Urged (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 15. A move has been made for the reinstatement of Messrs F. S. Ramson, S. Painter and J. Viekerman to the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association executive without a council meeting being called. The resignations of the men, together with that of Mr R. S. McKenzie, have been accepted by the New Zealand president (Mr A. M. Hitch, of Christchurch). The Wellington Lawn Tennis Association has urged Mr Hatch to reconsider his decision to accept the resignations of Messrs Ramson, Painter and Viekerman. It Has also indicated that ’if there is a council meeting it intends to support the elec, tion of these men anyway. Other associations are believed to have sent or to be considering telegrams. This could virtually ensure the re-election of the men before the meeting. If one or more of the three are unwilling to continue, however, the Wellington association ■believes a council meeting should be held. .
