Most N.Z. Lamb Firmer INZ. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 15. There was a steady demand for moderate pitciiings of New Zealand lamb at Smithfield market. London. this week, according to the market information ser-
vice of the New Zealand Meat Producers' Board.
Prices were very firm for most grades of New Zealand lamb with an increase of Id for prime, 281 b and under, and fd for the main grade. 291 b to 361 b. Supplies of home-killed lamb increased, but were absorbed on the firm market There was a moderate inquiry for light offerings of New Zealand mutton Wethers were at 9d to 13d a lb and ewes 8d to Hid—both up Jd. Small pitchings of frozen beef sold steadily on a firm market. New Zealand hinds fetched 23d to 24d a lb and fores 15Jd a lb.
