B.M.C. SALES IN AUSTRALIA

Planned (N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY, Sept. 15. The British Motor Corporation (Aust.) Pty., Ltd., will increase its production by 15 per cent in the next three months, and may need extra employees. The managing director of the company, Mr H. J. Graves, said yesterday: “All our cars are selling well and we are most optimistic about the future of the motor-car industry in Australia.” Mr Graves said that sales of B.M.C. cars had been most satisfactory in the wors’ period of the “credit squeeze” from April to June.
Sales in this period increased B.M.C.’s share of the total Australian car market by 6.4 per cent., he added.
