Pavilion Extension Planned
A major extension of the Old Collegians Cricket Club's Elmwood Park pavilion was approved at the annual meeting of members last evening. The extension is estimated to cost £5OO or more. * The first award of the H. M. Chrystall Trophy—for the most outstanding performance by a club member—»W made to D. R. L. Partridge by the president, Mr J. C. Saunders. Partridge was awarded the trophv for taking eight wickets for 11 runs in a. second grade B match last season. The batting trophy was awarded to D. S. Banks and the bowling trophy to J. C. U-Agar. Officers elected were as follows:—Patron. Mr T. W. C Tothill; president, Mr J. C. Saunders: vice-presidents. Messrs N. L. Macbeth. M. J Moffat and A R. Mac Gibbon: club captain. Mr D. B Hughey: deputy-club captain. Mr P.- T. Harman; honorary secretary, Mr D. J. Hill: assistant-honorary secretary. Mr N. Curtis; honorary treasurer, Mr B. A Carpenter; selector, Mr A. R. Mac Gibbon; committee. Messrs C E. W. Averill. D. R. E Ffertridge, P. M Hill, D. S Banks. T. M. Herrick: delegates to Canterbury Cricket Association. Messrs A. R Mac Gibbon, C. G. Hamilton. G. C. P. Beadel, D. B Hughey; delegate to Christ’s College Old Bovs’ Association, Mr D. J. Hill; honorary auditor, Mr J. M. Tocker.
