Bush Draws With NS.W. Juniors

(N.Z. Press Association) PAHIATUA Sept. 4. The touring New South Wales junior Rugby team was held to a draw, 9-9, by the Bush under 21 side at Pahiatua, today. Scoring three tries to two, and a penalty, Bush gave a good showing against a very last team of good handlers. The New South Wales forwards did not relish the tight play, but they were quick to the loose ball. They were outrucked and out-pushed by the Bush pack, who packed lower to use a slight weight advantage to good use. In the backs it was a different story, with New South Wales calling the tune. Tries by A. Foulty and G. Humphreys for Bush, and by B Taylor and P. Pongren, made the score 6-all at half-time. A penalty for New South Wales by its captain, P. Griffin and another try for Bush by I. Upston, made the full-time score 9-all.
