Message From Mr Tennent
The Minister of Education (Mr Tennent) sent the following message to the postprimary school teachers who arrived in Christchurch on Saturday. "It is with great pleasure thait I offer you my personal greetings and wish you welcome to New Zealand. , . .
I hope your stay with us will be happy and rewarding. "You have so much to give us. our children and our schools, that I hope many of you will make your homes here permanently.” Mr Tennant expressed his regret at being unable to greet the teachers personally.
