Thrills On Lake Forsyth
Power boats are thrilling. No-one visiting Lake Forsyth in the summer can fail to be impressed by the power and majesty displayed on its waters by the large number of motor-boats of all descriptions. Darting here and there, leaving a long white wake behind them, these craft have an immediate appeal to one who is interested in something more than sitting and watching.
Probably power boating would have an, even greater following if people were con. vinced that it is a perfectly safe sport. And of course it is, just as safe as any other. The New Brighton Power Boat Club, in its exhibition of varieties of craft at the Boat Show, wants to emphasise that the sport is a safe one. The club's theme could be: “Get the right type and size of boat, and the right motor for it, and anyone can handle it safely.’’ The club’s stand will feature no less than 15 speedboats of all types, and their owners will be on 'hand to give answers to any questions regarding their craft. These will have the task of convincing you that speedboats are perfectly safe to handle, as long as they are handled properly and with due regard to their potential.
