Gold Cup For Masterton
(N.Z. Press Association) MASTERTON, Aug. 31. Mr F. V. Lyons, an executive member of the New Zealand Racing Conference, has presented the Masterton Racing Club with a 100 guinea gold cup. This was announced by the president, Mr I. A. R. Macßae, at the club’s annual meeting last night. * Mr Macßae said the club would probably offer the cup at its next meeting, in October. The presentation was in recognition “of the club’s courage” in increasing stakes in the last season, said Mr Macßae.
