"The Press” Special Service TIMARU. Aug. 31. Canterbury, in its only match today in the South Island under 14 soccer tournament at Timaru beat South Canterbury by one goal. Canterbury obtained the deciding goal a few minutes before full-time. Nelson, in beating Southland, will now win the major and minor association cups. With one game to play. South Canterbury will most likely be runner-up—missing the main honours by oee point. Results were:— Morning matches: Nelson beat Buller 4-0; Otago drew with Southland: South Canterbury A beat South Canterbury B 2-0. Afternoon matches: Buller beat Otago. g-1; Canterbury beat South Canterbury A. 2-1; Nelson beat Southland, 4-0.
