Canterbury Referee For Shield Match
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 28. Mr V. Langford (Canterbury) will referee the Auckland • Southland Ranfurly Shield match on Wednesday. Other refereeing appointments made by the New Zealand Rugby Union, provisional on Auckland retaining the Shield, are: September 9, v. Wellington: Mr A. L. Fleury (Otagob September 16, v. Waikato: Mr C. H. Robson (Wellington). September 30, v. North Auckland: Mr C. J. McAuley (Otago).
