Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 28. The young New Zealand Davis Cup tennis player I. Crookenden has “improved a lot” oversees in the opinion <rf Mr D. C. Cooinbe. Its representative in England, Mr Cooenbe advised the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association management committee tonight that with more experience Crookenden could become “a very useful player indeed.’’ He said it had been wise for the team to stay in England after the Wimbledon championships in order to give Crookenden the opportunity of developing his game on grass courts—“oo which surface I think he is more effective.” Outlining results.
