ROMNEY SURVEY

Two Officers Appointed

Mr T. D. Quinlivan, senior veterinarian at Dannevirke, has been appointed veterinarian in charge of field work for the survey of Romney flocks, according to a statement issued by the New Zealand Romney Marsh Sheep Breeders’ Association. He will be stationed at Feilding and will take up his appointment later in the year. The Romney Marsh Survey Committee has also appointed Mr C. A. Martin, senior livestock instructor of the Department of Agriculture in Dunedin, to be field assistant. He will also be stationed in Feilding. Both men have been associated with investigational work into sheep thrift and disease and have worked with selenium. Mr Martin also had an important hand in organising a hydatids campaign on a voluntary basis in West Otago.
