COMPETITIONS AT GREYMOUTH
Successful Festival Concluded That the standard of fancy dancing had been more in keeping with professionals than amateurs, was the opinion expressed by Miss Barbara de Castro, who was judge of this section at the GreynSuth Competitions Society’s forty-seventh annual festival, which concluded with a second demonstration concert in St. Columba Hall last evening. • The judge said the strongest class was in the open taps, in which all the place getters were outstanding. The most common fault in the fancy dancing, however. was raised shoulders, and Miss de Castro attributed this to the fact that many girls cramped their arm movement instead of giving it the full breadth.
