South Island Finals For Stotter Cup Six members of the South Island Junior Chambers will contest the South Island final for the Stotter oratory cup at the W.E.A. rooms in Gloucester street today. The final of the contest will be held at the annual Junior Chamber convention in Rotorua on September 21. Those taking part in the contest today are Messrs J. Penketh (Motueka), W. Hansen (Nelson), J. Stevens (Blenheim). I. G. Clark (Christchurch), L. Homes (Timaru). and B. Elliott (Invercargill). The speakers are required to talk on a notable New Zealander or notable events in New Zealand’s history. The judges are Messrs E. S. Bowie, W. L. K. Dougall, and A. McKay.
