Air Transport For Football Team
Sir.—Mr Hill, who replied on behalf of T.E.A.L. is i thanked and an apology tendered. It does appear that the Rugby union is at fault. To sustain the union's prestige appears to be the reason why the Right was made from Rongotai. The statement that spare seats were available on all flights to Sydney tram Harewood during August does net give a oleer picture of the position. On August 14 our company applied for an economy seat on the flight to Sydney on August 25. None were available, and we were placed on the waiting list. After some discussion with T.E.AI* we were advised that Christchurch would contact Auckland to ascertain how many were ahead of us. As our representative is running to a fixed schedule he had to lepve on August 25 and so application was made for transfer from economy to first class. This was granted.—Yours, etc.. VIVE HAREWOOD. August 23. 1961.
